5/14/2025 | Men's Golf
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the 13th time in program history, Ole Miss men’s golf is advancing to the NCAA Championship. The No. 3 Rebels finished in second place at the Tallahassee Regional hosted by Florida State. The runner-up finish marks the highest in an NCAA Regional in program history. The previous best came in 2022 at the Norman Regional when the Rebels finished third.
Of the 13 NCAA Championship berths, it marks the seventh time the Rebels have advanced as a team and first since 2022. Head Coach Chris Malloy has now guided Ole Miss to three of their seven NCAA Championship team appearances.

Ole Miss was the most aggressive team on the course today, hunting flagsticks all day. The Rebels turned in the low score of the day on Wednesday, posting (275, -13).
Michael La Sasso was terrific for the Rebels, posting a final round six-under 66 to finish tied for second. His runner-up finish is the second-best finish in an NCAA Regional by an Ole Miss Rebel behind Jackson Suber, who took home individual honors in 2022. La Sasso jumpstarted his round with an eagle on the par 5 4th, posting one-under on his front nine. He would go on to birdie five of his final nine holes, including a circle at 18.
La Sasso was paired for the second time with Florida State’s Luke Clanton who took home the individual title. The trio was rounded out by Georgia’s Buck Brumlow who also finished second at 11 under-par.
Cohen Trolio had a strong final day shooting four-under 68 to finish even par for the regional. Trolio stuck a wedge to three feet on number one to open his day with a birdie. He would post two-under 34 on his front nine and carded a bogey-free two-under on the back. Trolio finished T23 for the regional.
Cameron Tankersley posted a final round of two-under 70 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. Tankersley carded three birdies on his round, taking advantage of the scorable par 5s.
Kye Meeks shot one-under 71 on day three and finished two-under for the week. Tom Fischer battled all day and finished his regional with a round of 73.
Ole Miss will head home and prep for the NCAA Championship May 23-28, at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, in Carlsbad, California. The Championship will ultimately feature 30 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams.
