Men’s Tennis Twelfth in SEC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  –  Ole Miss men's tennis was picked to finish twelfth in the SEC coaches' poll as released by the conference on Wednesday morning.

The Rebels finished their 2024-25 season with a conference record of 2-12 and finished 12-14 overall. Now with a new head coach in Jake Jacoby and some new faces on the roster, the Rebels will look to turn things around for the 2025-26 campaign.

The SEC is once again filled with tough competition, with four total teams sitting in the ITA top 25, including two in the top 10. Conference favorite Texas is ranked No. 2, followed by in-state rival Mississippi State, which was picked to finish second in the SEC and is ranked at No. 7 in the ITA. The final two nationally ranked SEC teams are Texas A&M, perched at No. 13 and third in the SEC, then lastly South Carolina. Despite being No. 18, USC was picked to finish eighth in the SEC preseason coaches' poll.

The Rebels will begin their 2026 campaign at home on Friday, Jan. 16, in a doubleheader against UAB at 11 a.m. CT and then North Alabama at 4 p.m. CT.

Ole Miss opens its SEC play in College Station, Texas, against No. 13 Texas A&M on Feb. 21. (voted No. 3 in SEC coaches' preseason poll).
