Women’s Tennis Twelfth in SEC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  –  Ole Miss women's tennis was picked to finish twelfth in the SEC coaches' poll as released by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

In what would be former head coach Mark Beyers' last season after a 24-year campaign. The Rebels finished tenth in the SEC in 2024-25 with a conference record of 6-9 and a 15-13 overall record, which resulted in the program's 22nd NCAA Tournament appearance. Now with new head coach Grant Roberts at the helm, he will look to build on the program's success for the 2025-26 chapter.

The SEC is stacked with talent this season, as nine teams are ranked in the ITA top 25. Including three teams in the top five. Beginning with conference favorite Georgia, at No. 1, and Texas A&M at No. 2, despite being picked to finish fourth behind Auburn and LSU in the SEC coaches' preseason poll. Lastly, LSU sits at No. 5 amid the ITA top 25 rankings.

The Rebels will begin their 2026 campaign on the road against conference foe No. 23 Florida on Friday, Jan. 23, at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Ole Miss opens its official SEC play a home against No. 5 LSU on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. CT. (voted No. 3 in SEC coaches' preseason poll).
