Cotie McMahon Named to Naismith Trophy College Player of the Year Late-Season Team

ATLANTA – Ole Miss women's basketball's Cotie McMahon has been recognized to the 2026 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Late-Season Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club released on Tuesday.
The previous two years, McMahon has been named to the prestigious honor's preseason and midseason watch list. Having a historic season in Oxford, this marks the first time in her career she has been honored to the late-season team.
The Dayton, Ohio, native is no stranger to national acclaim, earning a spot on the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Top 10 Watch List and the Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20 Watch List, among 13 total individual honors this season alone.
McMahon has put together a dominant campaign for Ole Miss, establishing herself as one of the SEC's most reliable scorers. Through 26 games and starts, she leads the team with 19.8 points per game, which is the fourth-best in the conference, while shooting 46.7 percent from the field. She is also averaging 5.7 rebounds per contest and paces the Rebels in minutes played at nearly 30 per game.
Her production has climbed even higher in SEC play, where she is averaging 21.5 points per game, the second-highest mark in the league, along with 5.9 rebounds per outing. McMahon is one of two student-athlete's in the conference to earn SEC Player of the Week honors three times during league play. Her consistent scoring and two-way presence have been pivotal to Ole Miss' success against SEC competition, with the Rebels averaging 73.2 points per game.
McMahon has tied Armintie Price' 2006-07 season for the seventh-most 20-point games in a single season by a Rebel with 15 on the year. With her performance, she's pulled one point away of 2,000 points in her overall career, a mark achieved by only four Rebels previously and not since Angel Baker did so in 2022-23.
