WEST POINT, Miss. – Tom Fischer collected the second individual title of his career earning co-medalist honors Tuesday at the Mossy Oak Collegiate. The No. 13 Ole Miss men's golf team tallied their second victory of the season receiving co-champion honors alongside Mississippi State at (847, -17).
Fischer posted his sixth consecutive under-par round, shooting 2-under 70 over his final 18 holes. Needing to make something happen down the stretch, the senior played his final five holes 2-under to post 8-under for the tournament.
He shares the title with Mississippi State's Dain Richie and becomes the third Rebel this season to win at least a share of an individual title, joining Cameron Tankersley and Daniel Tolf.
Tankersley and the Trolio brothers all finished in red figures and inside the top 15 for the week.
Tankersley shot even par Tuesday to finish at 4-under, tied for seventh. He caps off the regular season with four top 10 finishes.
The Trolio tandem both posted 1-over 73 in their final rounds. Cohen finished at 3-under-par, tied for 11th and Collins ended his week at 2-under, good for a T14 finish.
The tournament sweep marked the 11th of the Chris Malloy era. The reigning Golfweek coach of the year has now guided Ole Miss to 14 team titles and 10 different Rebels to a combined 28 individual wins.
Ole Miss will return home and prep for the SEC Championship, April 22-26, at Sea Island Golf Club.
