No. 10 Men’s Golf Locks in Spot at NCAA Championship
5/20/2026 | Men's Golf
BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – For the eighth time in school history, the Rebels hit the 30-under-par mark at a three-round tournament as they closed out an impressive run at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional on Wednesday, with the No. 10 Ole Miss men's golf team taking third place to punch their ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championship.
This marks the eighth time in program history the team has earned a spot at the championship event, and the fourth time under head coach Chris Malloy.
Their three-round performance of 821 and 31 under par is the seventh-best tournament in school history in relation to par. All eight instances of shooting 30-under-par or better in program history have come under Malloy, including five in the past three seasons.
Cameron Tankersley was on a tear once again today, beginning his final round with three birdies on the first five holes. On hole six featuring a par-five at 588 yards, he knocked in his third eagle of the season, helping to fuel a six-under-par day that moved him to 16 under for the tournament and second place individually. His performance in relation to par gave him the second-best three-round tournament in Ole Miss history, trailing only Braden Thornberry's -18 showing in 2016.
Not to be outdone, Tom Fischer began his final day with a trio of birdies on the front nine. He would go on to card a three under-par 68, setting him at nine under for the tournament and placing him in a tie for fifth individually, marking his fourth top five finish on the year.
Following his career-best round of 18 yesterday, Collins Trolio began the day with birdies on two of his first three holes, eventually carding a 70 to set him at six under at the regional. He would finish in a tie for 12th individually.
Cohen Trolio would knock in five birdies in his final 18 holes to help fuel the Rebels, while Finn Meister carded a solid round of 74.
Ole Miss now turns their attention to the west coast, as they'll begin play at the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa on Friday, May 29.
