CARLSBAD, Calif. – The best of the best is prepared for the 2026 NCAA Championship, as No. 20 Ole Miss heads to Carlsbad, California to play at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa beginning on Friday, May 22.
The NCAA Championship features 30 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams. Each will compete in 54 holes of stroke play across three days, with the top 15 teams and top nine individuals from non-advancing teams competing in one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight. The top eight teams then compete in match play to eventually determine the national champion on May 27.

The resume for Ole Miss includes six regular season top five finishes and two team titles. Four players tallied at least one top-10 finish with two tallying at least one top five. The sophomore duo of Kajsalotta Svarvar and Mary Miller have been frontrunners all season, each leading the team in multiple statistical categories. Svarvar paces the team in scoring average (71.34) and rounds in the 60s (10) while Miller has the most rounds under-par (15) to go along with five top-10 finishes individually.
THRIVE AND ADVANCE
For the seventh time in program history, Ole Miss has advanced to the NCAA Championship after a successful regional performance. Each of their championship event bids have come under current head coach Kory Henkes, including four straight appearances. The Rebels earned a national championship in 2021, defeating Oklahoma State in the final 4-1 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
POSTSEASON NOD
In her sophomore campaign and first year with the Rebels, Mary Miller received second team All-SEC honors, the conference announced on May 1. The Savannah, Georgia, native has been a leader for the Rebels all season, pacing the team in rounds under-par (15) and top 10 finishes (5). Miller set a new career-low 54-hole score of (204, -6) at the SEC Championship and tied her career-low 18-hole score of (68, -4). She's tallied a 71.77 season scoring average and finished runner-up in stroke play at the SEC Championship, marking a season best finish.
BACK IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE TIMES TWO
Ole Miss notched two victories in the regular season including their second straight win at the Cougar Classic back on Sept. 9. It marked back-to-back wins for the sixth time in program history with four coming under head coach Kory Henkes. The win in Charleston was the third at the Cougar Classic under Henkes in the last four years with prior wins coming in 2022 and 2023.
SIX STRONG
Ole Miss returned 70 percent of their 2024-25 roster broken down by one senior, one junior and three sophomores. Senior Nicole Gal has recorded a 74.04 scoring average with her best finish this season coming in her home country of Canada where she placed T8 at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational. Gal was also named a Brad Davis 2025-26 community service award winner.
Sophomore Kajsalotta Svarvar has been stellar this season with four top five finishes. She leads the team in seven statistical categories and carded a career best 54-hole score of (203, -10) at the Cougar Classic.
Sophie Linder has been solid in the middle of the lineup for Ole Miss as she journeys through her third spring in the red and blue. Linder is third best in rounds under-par and is fourth in most rounds in the 60s this season.
Filippa Sundquist holds four top 20 finishes and has rattled home the fifth most birdies of any Rebel.
NEW FACES, IMMEDIATE IMPACT
Kory Henkes and Zack Siefert added true freshman Matilda Björkman as part of the 2025 class and picked up sophomore Mary Miller via the portal.
Björkman, a native of Töreboda, Västergötland, Sweden, wasted little time cementing her name on the collegiate stage with a T3 finish in her debut at the Boilermaker Classic. She leads the team in eagles and has carded 11 rounds of par or better.
Mary Miller came to Ole Miss after one year at Georgia Southern where she started all 13 tournaments as a freshman and set a program record 37 rounds played, the most in a single season at GSU.
