Women’s Basketball Releases 2027 SEC Opponents

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss women's basketball has unveiled its SEC opponents for the 2026 campaign, as the conference announced the games for all 16 schools on Tuesday morning. 
 
The conference schedule consists of a single round robin of home or away (14 games) with one rotating opponent that will be played at home and away (two games). Each team will play eight home games and eight away games. The rotating opponent changes annually. This marks the 18th season of the 16-game schedule for women's basketball.
 
Ole Miss will take on Alabama in its lone home-and-away matchup. The Rebels plan to pack the SJB Pavilion for home games against Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas. Ole Miss will take its defense on the road against Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.
 
The 2027 conference season will begin Thursday, December 31, 2026. The regular season concludes with the 2027 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament being held for the 10th time at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. The tournament, which will include all 16 teams, begins on Wednesday, March 3 and concludes with the championship game on Sunday, March 7.
                               
The women's basketball television schedule will be announced later, as will the date and time for all games.
 
Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is returning for year nine in Oxford, coming off Ole Miss' fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. For the first time in program history, the Rebels' had two picks in the WNBA draft, while additionally a fourth of the team ended up in a WNBA camp.
 
10 newcomers will join the Rebels, as McPhee-McCuin has been recognized as bringing in the No. 3 transfer portal class, according to ESPN and USA TODAY, as well as the No. 4 class by On3.com. The class is highlighted by All-SEC honoree Talaysia Cooper, who was recognized as the fourth best transfer in the portal this off season. She will be joined by Jada Richard, who was touted as one of the top 15 student-athletes available out of the portal.
