OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss men's golf head coach Chris Malloy and women's golf head coach Kory Henkes announced Thursday the hiring of Nathan Griffin, who will serve as an assistant coach for both programs.

Griffin comes to Ole Miss after spending three seasons at Troy, where he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Trojans' golf programs. During his time with the Trojans, he helped both teams combine for 21 top five finishes, five tournament titles, and a fourth-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship Urbana Regional.

"I'm excited to welcome Nathan to Oxford," said Coach Malloy. "In his short time in coaching, he has developed a reputation as one of the up-and-coming coaches in the country. His leadership and commitment to player development will help our players grow and succeed on and off the course while continuing to elevate our program to new heights."

"Nate is one of the brightest young coaches in college golf," Coach Henkes added. "His energy, recruiting ability, player development experience, and passion for the game makes him an outstanding addition to Ole Miss. We're excited to welcome him to Oxford and look forward to the impact he'll have on both our men's and women's golf programs."

Before his time at Troy, Griffin worked with the Alabama Junior Golf Organization and spent time with the Auburn men's and women's golf programs as an operations and administration assistant. He also served as a graduate assistant in athletics operations at Jacksonville State and worked as a first teaching assistant and assistant professional at Cider Ridge Country Club.

"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity granted to me by the entire Ole Miss coaching staff," said Griffin. "The history, pedigree, and future of golf at Ole Miss is electrifying! I look forward to working with Coach Malloy and Coach Henkes as well as the world class athletes on their respective teams."

A former collegiate golfer, Griffin was a four-year letterwinner at Faulkner, where he was a three-time all-academic team member and three-time Dean's List selection. He earned his bachelor's degree in sport and fitness management from Faulkner in 2021 and his master's degree in sports management from Jacksonville State in 2022.
