Women’s Golf Opens Season at Boilermaker Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Ole Miss women's golf begins the 2026-27 season Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at the Boilermaker Classic at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
 
Entering her 12th season at the helm, head coach Kory Henkes leads the Rebels back to the Kampen-Cosler Course after Ole Miss captured last season's Boilermaker Classic title. The Rebels return three members of the counting lineup that won the event, while senior Sophie Linder returns to West Lafayette as an individual.
 
BEHIND THE ARCHITECTURE
The Kampen-Cosler Course is an 18-hole, links-style course designed by Pete Dye. The layout features large bent-grass greens, fairways and tees, along with sand bunkers, native grasslands, ponds and a natural celery bog. The course will play as a par 72 at 6,299 yards for the Boilermaker Classic.

Mary Miller (Jr.)
  • Earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2025-26.
  • Posted a 72.00 stroke average with five top-10 and eight top-20 finishes last season.
  • Tied for second at the SEC Championship and ninth at the NCAA Louisville Regional.
Ebba Lundqvist (Fr.)
  • Freshman from Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Graduated from Filbornaskolan in 2026.
  • Competed for Haninge Golf Club in Sweden.
Kajsalotta Svarvar (Jr.)
  • Earned WGCA and Golfweek honorable mention All-America honors in 2025-26.
  • Led Ole Miss with a 71.39 stroke average, four top-five finishes and 22 rounds at par or better.
  • Tied for third at the NCAA Louisville Regional and 18th at the NCAA Championship.
Matilda Björkman (So.)
  • Made her collegiate debut at the 2025 Boilermaker Classic, tying for third at 3-under 213.
  • Opened last season's event with a career-low 5-under 67.
  • Competed in all 12 tournaments as a freshman and helped Ole Miss win two team titles.
Lisa Herman (Fr.)
  • Freshman from Jenks, Oklahoma.
  • Won the 2026 PGA High School Golf National Invitational.
  • Captured the 2026 Indian Springs AJGA Junior Tournament title.
*Sophie Linder (Sr.)
  • Has competed in 35 tournaments and 100 rounds across three seasons with the Rebels.
  • Owns a 73.02 career stroke average with seven top-20 finishes.
  • Finished 12th at last season's Boilermaker Classic, closing with a 3-under 69.
THE FIELD
Abilene Christian, Ball State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Little Rock, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri State, North Florida, Ole Miss, Purdue, Rutgers and Western Kentucky.
 
DEFENDING THE TITLE
Ole Miss opened the 2025-26 season by winning the Boilermaker Classic at 2-under 862. The Rebels closed with a 4-under 284 to edge Indiana by one stroke and earn the 20th team title of the Henkes era.
 
Björkman led Ole Miss in her collegiate debut, tying for third at 3-under 213, while Svarvar placed fifth at 2-under 214. Linder finished 12th after firing a 3-under 69 in the final round. The victory marked the third time under Henkes that the Rebels opened a season with a tournament title.
 
SNAPSHOT OF 2025-26
Ole Miss advanced to the NCAA Championship for the fourth consecutive season and seventh time in program history. The Rebels won the Boilermaker Classic and Cougar Classic, advanced to match play at the SEC Championship after finishing fifth in stroke play and tied for fourth at the NCAA Louisville Regional to earn a spot at the NCAA Championship.
 
Svarvar earned WGCA and Golfweek honorable mention All-America honors after posting a team-best 71.39 stroke average. Miller collected second-team All-SEC honors and tied for second at the SEC Championship.
 
NEW FACES
Freshmen Lundqvist and Herman will make their collegiate debuts in the Ole Miss lineup. Lundqvist joins the Rebels from Stockholm, Sweden, after competing for Haninge Golf Club. Herman arrives from Jenks High School after winning the 2026 PGA High School Golf National Invitational and the 2026 Indian Springs AJGA Junior Tournament.
 
UP NEXT
Following play in West Lafayette, the Rebels will travel to Hanahan, South Carolina, for the Cougar Classic Sept. 7-8.
