Football vs. Florida: First Look

OXFORD, Miss. – No. 4 Ole Miss football (3-0, 1-0 SEC) travels to Gainesville Saturday as head coach Pete Golding and the Rebels take on the No. 21 Florida Gators in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
The Gators are coming off of a 44-39 victory over the Auburn Tigers last Saturday. This will be the 28th all-time meeting between the Rebels and the Tigers, with the last coming in 2025 resulting in a 34-24 victory for Ole Miss in Oxford.

Scouting the Gators
Florida enters Saturday's matchup with a record of 3-0 on the season after opening with victories over Florida Atlantic and Campbell before getting their first conference win of the year last week at Auburn. The Gators are led by first year Head Coach John Summerall and average 54.0 points per game and give up 21.0 points on average. The Gators have been effective on the ground thus far this season, scoring 12 times on the ground through three weeks. Florida is led by junior running back Jadan Baugh who has rushed for 458 yards and has eight touchdowns on the season.
Three Players to Watch: Ole Miss Rebels
- Trinidad Chambliss - Chambliss is coming off his best game so far of the season. Last time out the fifth-year quarterback threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns versus the Tigers.
- Traylon Ray - The senior wide receiver is coming off of his best career game as a Rebel. In last Saturday's game Ray went for 115 yards on seven receptions and found the end zone once.
- Jaylon Braxton - The senior cornerback sealed the deal for the Rebels the last time he was on the field. With the game on the line Braxton intercepted a pass from Sam Levitt to secure the victory for the Rebels in the red zone.
- Aaron Philo - The junior quarterback joins the Gators football team after two seasons with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Through three weeks Philo has thrown for 721 yards and six touchdowns.
- Jadan Baugh - The junior running back leads the way for the Gators offense. Baugh has gone for over 100 yards in each of his three games so far this season in addition to finding the end zone eight times, ranking tied for first in all of the FBS.
- Myles Graham - The junior linebacker leads the Gators defense 20 tackles so far this season, 11 of which are solo. In his first game this season Graham totaled 10 tackles and half a sack.
