Men’s Golf Claims First Place Finish at Bryan Bros Collegiate

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C – The Ole Miss men's golf team captured the crown at the Bryan Bros Collegiate, as Collins Trolio drilled a putt on the 18th hole to secure the victory. The Rebels finished the tournament at 833 (-19), earning their first tournament title of the season.
The Rebels entered the final holes of the tournament tied for first with the Liberty Flames and the No. 13 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks. It was a back-and-forth battle until the very end, with Ole Miss ultimately edged out Arkansas to claim the victory.
Trolio, the Rebels' highest individual finisher, tied for second after carding a 2-under 69 in the final round. He posted a career-low 54-hole score of 8-under and delivered the clutch moment for Ole Miss, draining the final putt for par on the 18th hole to secure the Rebels' first tournament title of the season.
Eduardo Matarazzo also put together a strong performance, tying for fifth after carding a 2-under 69 in the final round to finish 6-under overall. Matarazzo delivered a crucial birdie on the 15th hole to help secure the victory for the Rebels while also recording his highest finish as an Ole Miss Rebel.
Cooper Claycomb also played a vital role in the Rebels' championship run, carding a 3-under 68 in the final round and stringing together a late run of birdies to help Ole Miss pull even with Liberty atop the leaderboard. Claycomb would finish the tournament 4-under overall to tie for ninth and claim his highest finish at Ole Miss.
Daniel Tolf finished the tournament tied for 30th after carding a 4-over 75 in the final round and finishing 2-under overall. Tomas Restrepo tied for 66th after posting a 1-over final round, highlighted by a crucial eagle and two late birdies that helped the Rebels pull even with Liberty and Arkansas in the team standings.
Finn Meister, who competed as an individual, finished the tournament tied for 42nd after carding a 1-over 72 in the final round and finishing 4-over overall.
Ole Miss will return to action next week, Oct. 5-6, at the Hamptons Intercollegiate in East Hampton, New York, at the historic Maidstone Club.
