Corey Miller was announced as assistant strength & conditioning coach on February 4, 2020 after spending the previous three seasons as Assistant Director at the University of South Carolina.
After setting his first season at Ole Miss, Miller was promoted to director of football sports performance coming into his second year.
Miller’s three seasons at South Carolina presented him the opportunity to learn under the likes of head football coach Will Muschamp and head strength and conditioning coach Jeff Dillman in pursuit of the 2018 Outback Bowl Championship. Throughout his time there, he trained and mentored a handful of athletes now showcasing their talents in the NFL.
Prior to arriving at the University of South Carolina, Miller spent his previous two years in the private sector as the head strength and conditioning coach of D1 Sports Training of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Miller spent the year before arriving at D1 Sports Training overseas in Rome, Italy as a defensive line player/coach for then named Lazio Marines.
Miller, who is a 2014 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in sociology, was a SEC and NCAA Defensive Player of the Week (2013). He also currently holds the single-game sack record with a dominant performance (4.5 sacks) against Kentucky (2013).
The No. 3 ranked defensive end in the country was a 2010 signee and early enrollee from Byrnes High School in Duncan, South Carolina, under Lane Kiffin’s first full recruiting class.
