Lutchaunig joins Ole Miss after one season as an assistant coach at Dayton, where he helped lead the Flyers to an 18-7 overall record, an undefeated 5-0 mark in Atlantic 10 play and an appearance in the conference championship final.
Prior to Dayton, Lutschaunig served as a coach at Kass Tennis Academy in Columbus, Ohio, following a decorated playing career at Ohio State from 2018-24. During his time with the Buckeyes, he captured the 2023 NCAA Doubles Championship and earned ITA All-American honors. He also won the 2022 ITA Fall Nationals doubles title.
Lutschaunig finished his Ohio State career with 18 singles victories and 68 doubles wins, including a standout 2022-23 season in which he posted a 31-9 doubles record with 14 ranked wins. He played a key role in Ohio State’s 2023 NCAA Tournament run, clinching the doubles point in the team semifinals before teaming with JJ Tracy to win the NCAA doubles championship.
Off the court, Lutschaunig was recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a five-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a six-time OSU Scholar-Athlete. A native of Richboro, Pennsylvania, he was a four-star recruit and ranked No. 83 nationally in the 2018 recruiting class. He was also a two-time District 12 individual champion, state qualifier and two-time Philadelphia Catholic League MVP.
