After playing her final collegiate season with the Maryland in 2023, Mackense Greico joined the Ole Miss softball coaching staff as a graduate manager for the 2024 season.
As an athlete, Greico played three seasons at Furman University and wrapped up her collegiate career at Maryland. At Furman, she hit .310 with 12 home runs and led her team in hits, RBIs, slugging and OPS her junior season. In 2019, she earned SoCon All-Freshman Team honors, and in 2021, she was named First-Team All-SoCon. With Terps, Greico hit .328 and blasted 10 home runs while recording .990 a career fielding percentage. At Maryland, she was named Big Ten Player of the Week on March 2, 2022, the first POTW honor since 2015 for the Maryland softball program. She also ended her regular season career on May 8, 2023, with another Big Ten Player of the Week Honor and was named Second-Team All-Conference in her final season of eligibility.
Greico, an Aberdeen, Maryland, native, graduated from the University of Maryland in May of 2023 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Classical Language and Literature as an Ancient Greek Specialist. She is pursuing her Master’s in biology at Ole Miss.
