HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Christian Brothers High School where he lettered four years while playing for head coach Buster Kelso ... Won a state championship in 2011 and 2013 ... Named to the All-State team and Best of Preps in 2013 and 2014 ... Was the TBCA Player of the Year in 2013 ... An All-Metro selection in 2012, 2013 and 2014 ... Went 7-2 with two saves and a 2.50 ERA as a senior, striking out 82 batters in 60 innings ... For his career, he went 25-13 with four saves, fanning 285 in 234 innings ... At the plate during his senior year he hit .380 with two home runs, 38 RBIs, eight doubles and four triples ... Also lettered one year in basketball.
