OUTDOOR: Competed at four meets during the outdoor season … posted a personal-best time of 1:03.01 in the 400m hurdles to finish sixth at the Border Clash … finished 10th in the 400m hurdles at the LSU Invitational (1:03.79) … helped the 4x400m relay team to a fourth-place finish at the Tiger Track Classic (3:50.39) … clocked a season-best 58.25 in the 400m at the Tiger Track Classic.
INDOOR: Competed at four meets during the indoor season … posted a season-best time of 58.53 in the 400m for a fourth-place finish at the Scarlett and Black Invitational … finished third at the A-State Invitational with a time of 58.62 in the 400m … clocked a season-best time of 26.77 in the 200m at the Gene Edmonds Cup, while finishing sixth in the 400m (59.55).
BEFORE OLE MISS: Two-time PIAA state runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles her freshman and sophomore years, while placing third as a senior and fourth as a junior ... set Brookville Area school records in the 100 hurdles (15.44) and 300 hurdles (44.22) and part of the school record 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams ... also helped the basketball team to a district championship as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born Aug. 2, 1994 ... daughter of James and Laurie Newsome ... twin sister of fellow Rebel Lanae Newsome.
