Meredith Pendergast Weaver MS, ATC, began her career as an athletic trainer at Ole Miss in 2012. She currently serves as Associate Director of Health and Sports Performance.
Weaver is responsible for the day-to-day care of the women’s basketball team. Her administrative responsibilities include supervision of the Tuohy Athletic Training room staff, oversight of the Sports Nutrition department, and is a member of the Disordered Eating Treatment Team.
She has served as the women’s basketball athletic trainer since 2013. As an assistant and graduate assistant athletic trainer at Ole Miss, she worked with volleyball, women's tennis, rifle, and track & field/cross country.
Weaver earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Troy University in 2012. Throughout her years as an undergraduate student, she spent her summers employed at Rehab Associates of Wetumpka, AL, and Troy, AL, as well as a first aider for the Varsity Cheerleading and Dance Corporation. Prior to Ole Miss, she gained experience in the Southeastern Conference as an intern at Vanderbilt University, working primarily with the Commodores' football team.
Weaver earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Mississippi in 2015.
She is a board certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association, licensed athletic trainer in the state of Mississippi, CPR/AED certified, and dry needle certified.
A native of Wetumpka, Alabama, Weaver resides in Oxford with her husband, Matt, Australian Shepherd- Griff, and cat- Izzy.
