Former Tennessee standout Ariel Massengale is in her second season as a graduate manager for the Ole Miss women's basketball team in 2018-19.

A native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Massengale brings great SEC knowledge and experience to the program. Massengale is a 2015 graduate of UT and won four SEC titles during her time in Knoxville.

Massengale was part of legendary head coach Pat Summitt's final recruiting class at Tennessee, and she brings a wealth of experience to Oxford. In addition to the string of SEC championships—two regular-season and two tournament titles—Massengale helped guide the Volunteers to one Sweet 16 and three Elite Eight berths.

Following her collegiate career, Massengale was selected 29th overall in the third round of the 2015 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream. She was sidelined during the 2015-16 season after undergoing microfracture surgery on her left knee. After a season of rehab, Massengale landed in Finland, but soon after decided to hang up her sneakers and begin her coaching career.

Massengale was Illinois Ms. Basketball for the class of 2011.
