Addie Rivera enters her second season with the Ole Miss volleyball program. For the 2024 season, she will serve in a new role after being elevated to the Rebels' tech coordinator.
As tech coordinator, Rivera is responsible for advanced statistics and film for the program. She works directly with the coaching staff in putting together scouting reports for the Rebels as well as detailed analytics in match.
In 2023 Rivera served as the Rebels’ volunteer assistant. She assisted Henry and the Ole Miss coaching staff in successfully shifting the culture of the program while competing at a high level in the SEC. Rivera helped the Ole Miss offense see seven different athletes finish the season with over 100 kills, and the defense average 13.95 digs per set, the third-best mark in the conference.
Prior to arriving in Oxford, Rivera played collegiate volleyball at the University of Delaware. In her career with the Blue Hens, she totaled 192 kills, five assists, 12 aces, 23 digs and 98 total blocks. A middle blocker, Rivera led the team in blocks in back-to-back seasons. As a redshirt sophomore, she posted a team-high 1.10 blocks per set and was among the top-10 in the conference in blocking while averaging 2.75 kills per set. Rivera posted a season-best eight blocks and 13 kills in a win over West Virginia. In 2019, she played 85 sets across 27 matches, leading Delaware with 0.89 blocks per set.
A graduate of Emmaus High School in Macungie, Pa., Rivera totaled nearly 800 kills and 250 blocks in her four years as a varsity starter.
