Kyle Bruce joined Ole Miss Athletics in July of 2023 and currently serves as Senior Associate AD for Strategic Engagement and oversees the athletics department’s Broadcast Productions, Communications, Content Strategy, Creative Productions, In-Venue Productions and Marketing & Fan Experience units.
Bruce came to Oxford following three years at Virginia Tech, the last 18 months of which saw him serve as Associate AD for Digital Strategy & Innovation following a promotion from Assistant AD of Digital Strategy & Ecosystem. He built the Hokies’ Digital Strategy unit from the ground up, growing from two staff members to seven, and contributed to revenue and attendance records across a variety of sports and initiatives.
Prior to Virginia Tech, Bruce served as the Director of Digital Strategy at the University of Washington from 2017-20. While with the Huskies, Bruce was responsible for the department's digital presence across web and social media. He was part of a marketing department that received national recognition for its efforts, twice finishing as a finalist for the NACMA Marketing Team of the Year award. His work with Washington's digital sales team also resulted in national honors, collecting the Breakthrough Innovator award from Paciolan in 2019.
Bruce has also spent time in external roles at Iowa State and Eastern Washington University.
Bruce is a 2011 graduate of Western Oregon University in business administration, where he served as a student assistant in the sports information office. He earned a Master's degree in sports sciences from the University of the Pacific in 2013. While at Pacific, Bruce worked as a graduate assistant in the media relations office.
Outside of his duties at Ole Miss, Bruce is an active participant in the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). He was elected to a four-year term on the board in June of 2024 following six years as a member on various committees.
