Wade, Clancy Earn All-America Honors

OXFORD, Miss. -- Two members of the Ole Miss Rebels have been selected to the Football News All-America teams, which were announced Tuesday by the national publication.
Offensive tackle Todd Wade was named to the second team while defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy was chosen to the third team.
"These two young men are most deserving of this national recognition," said Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe."Both of them have had a major impact in our success this season."
Wade, a 6-8, 330 pound senior from Jackson, Miss., who has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 5.0 seconds for professional scouts, has been a leader on the offensive line which has helped Ole Miss produce the Southeastern Conference's top ranked rushing offense with 187.7 yards per game.
In addition to being a strong run blocker, Wade's tough pass protection has helped Ole Miss throw for over 200 yards in seven of its 10 games this season and rank third in the SEC in passing efficiency at 131.0. The Rebels also rank second in the SEC in sacks against, giving up only 15 in 10 games this season.
Clancy, a 6 1/2, 270 pound senior from Tuscaloosa, Ala., has played in all 10 games this season despite suffering a severely sprained ankle, which has limited his playing time.
With 44 total tackles, Clancy anchors a defensive line that ranks fourth in the nation against the run, yielding an average of 73.4 yards per game. He leads the Rebels in tackles for loss with 17 for a minus 71 yards and also leads in quarterback sacks with 7.0 for a minus 41 yards.
