OXFORD, Miss. -- Freshman Clint Farrar went 1-for-3 and pitched two scoreless innings to highlight Wednesday's Ole Miss baseball intra-squad scrimmage.

The Rebels will conclude fall workouts with a scrimmage on Thursday at 3 p.m. and a Friday night scrimmage at 7 p.m.

Farrar, from Clinton, Miss., went 1-for-3 at the plate, stole two bases and scored two runs. On the hill, Farrar allowed just two hits in his two innings and struck out the side in his final inning of action.

Other players of note, senior outfielder Chad Mead and sophomore third baseman Robert Shelton both collected two hits.

For Friday's scrimmage, the Rebel baseball team is asking that fans donate two canned food goods in place of admission to help with relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Georges.
