Men's Golf to Participate in Gary Koch-Cleveland Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team travels to Orlando, Fla., to participate in the Gary Koch-Cleveland Golf Invitational at the Rio Pinar Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.

The tournament is hosted by Central Florida and includes Campbell, Columbus State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, San Diego, South Florida, Tennessee Chattanooga, Toledo, Troy State, UAB and Wofford.

Ole Miss has played in two tournaments this year, the G. Gunby Jordan Intercollegiate and the Tennessee Tournament of Champions, and has recorded top five finishes in both tournaments. The Rebels shot a low round of 285 at Tennessee.

Troy Muller, a sophomore from Braithwaite, La., leads Ole Miss with a 71.33 stroke average. Muller tied for sixth place at Tennessee with a 73-69-72--214.

Haymes Snedeker, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., is second on the team with a 72.50 stroke average. At the G. Gunby Jordan Intercollegiate, Snedeker tied for sixth by firing a 73-72-70=215.

"This is the first-ever Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate, so we are looking forward to competing in this event," Ole Miss head coach Woody Cowart said. "The team has been playing well this fall, and we would really like to have a good showing at this tournament."
