Tisha Parker Places Second in Long Jump at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA -- Sophomore Tisha Parker led the Ole Miss track and field effort at the Penn Relays with a second-place finish in the women's collegiate long jump on Friday. Parker placed second with a jump of 20-6 1/4.
The Houston, Texas, native also placed in the top 10 in the women's collegiate triple jump, finishing 10th with a personal season-best mark of 39-6 ". Freshman Brandy Mack also competed for the Lady Rebels on Friday, finishing 14th in the women's collegiate 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:01.38.
On the men's side, the Rebels' 1600-meter relay team of Aaron Fenzel, Wayne Woolery, Jon Voyles and Tobias Anderson placed fifth in the event with a time of 3:13.53. Junior Bernie Kuria finished 22nd in the 10,000 meters with a time of 30:12.34. Kuria's time is the fifth best effort in the event in Ole Miss history.
The Ole Miss track and field squads will continue competition at the Penn Relays on Saturday.
