KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Semeka Randall scored 23 points and top-ranked Tennessee held Mississippi to 25 percent shooting from the field to rout the Lady Rebels 96-58 Thursday night.

Tamika Catchings added 16 points for Tennessee (20-1, 9-0 Southeastern Conference), which shot 57 percent from the field. Becky Myatt scored 15 points for Mississippi (13-8, 4-6).

The Lady Vols used tenacious full-court defense to open a 23-5 lead in the first seven minutes of the game. Randall led the charge with 10 points.

Ole Miss, which committed eight turnovers in the first six minutes, hit just four of its first 16 shots. Myatt's two 3-point baskets and Frankie Boyd's two free throws were the only offense for the Lady Rebels in Tennessee's early run.

The Lady Vols went through a brief cold spell midway through the half, but finished strong to take a 47-25 halftime lead.

Tennessee quickly established control in the second half. Randall again led the way, scoring eight points in a 12-4 run to open the half.

Ole Miss tried to rally behind the long-range shooting of Chanda Dorsey, who hit four 3s in a six-minute span. But a 19-6 run by Tennessee down the stretch finished off the Lady Rebels.

Chamique Holdsclaw and Kristen Clement each scored 12 points for Tennessee, which outrebounded Ole Miss 50-33 and scored 19 second-chance points on 17 offensive rebounds.
