Lady Rebels Sign First-Team All-Region Player

OXFORD, Miss. - Latasha Moore, a 5-11 forward from Irving, Texas, will join the Ole Miss women's basketball program for the 1999-2000 academic year, Head coach Ron Aldy announced Tuesday.

Moore played at Irving-Nimitz High School before going to Howard College in Big Springs, Texas, where she played for Matt Corkery. She was a first-team All-Region player at Howard College while averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.

As a sophomore, she led Howard to a No. 8 national ranking and a 25-3 record. Moore shot 90 percent from the free throw line, 48 percent from the field and led the region in three- point shooting accuracy at 39 percent.

Moore joins Kayla Madewell (Farmington, Ark.), Shayla Day (New Madrid, Mo.), Leah Henley (Warren, Ark.) and Latasha Harris (Texarkana, Ark.) as the 1999-2000 signees.
