Men's Baseball Defeats USM, 15-7

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Jason Huisman hit a pair of two-run homers Wednesday to set a new Mississippi single-season record of 18 and lead the Rebels to a 15-7 win over Southern Mississippi in college baseball.
Huisman's 18 home runs this season break the record of 17 set in 1995 by David Dellucci.
Ole Miss (21-19) also got a pair of homers and four RBIs Bobby Kielty. Kielty hit a homer off Southern Miss starter Drew Johnson (4-5) to open the first inning and then hit a two-run shot in the Rebels five-run fourth inning.
Southern Miss (22-16) opened the game with a two-run home run by Jeremy Schied off Ole Miss starter Joey Cramblitt (7-2). Schied added a three-run double in the sixth inning.
Cramblitt worked 5-2/3 innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while walking four and striking out two. Ryan Bukvich came in to work the final three innings for Ole Miss to earn his first save of the year.
