Men's Track Finishes Third, Women Fourth

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Ole Miss men's track claimed eight first-place finishes and the women seven during the final day of competition at the Tom Botts Invitational at the University of Missouri in Columbia Saturday.
The men's team finished the competition in third place with 140 points, while the women finished fourth with 121 points.
On the men's side, Savante Stringfellow finished first in the high jump with a leap of 7'-0" and in the long jump with an NCAA-qualifying mark of 26'-4.25". Willie Moore set two Larry Wade Stadium records with his two first-place finishes, one in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.20 and in the 200 meter dash with a time of 20.71.
Marcus Jones won the triple jump and set a new meet record with a distance of 50'-4.25", while Kyle Wallace won the pole vault with a meet record of 16'10.75". Wayne Woollery took first and set a meet record in the 400 meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 52.93.
The men's team also set a meet record in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:10.28.
Teeneshia Jones led the women's team with three first place finishes. Jones won the 100 meter dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 11.53, and set a meet record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.65. Jones also won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.78.
Brandy Barnett set a meet record in the high jump with a mark of 5'-8". Barnett also won the 400 meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 1:01.97.
The women's team also posted wins in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 46.49, and the 4x400 meter relay with a mark of 3:47.03.
