MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- Ole Miss hit four home runs in pounding Army 14-3 in the opening game of the Service Academies Spring Classic at USA Field in Millington, Tenn.

The win improved the Rebels to 7-3 on the season, while Army fell to 0-1.

Ole Miss wasted little in jumping ahead of the Cadets as Brad Henderson and Jason hit back-to-back home runs to start the game.

Left fielder Chad Mead made it a 5-1 Ole Miss lead with a two-run shot to cap off a three-run fifth inning. The homer was his first in an Ole Miss uniform after spending the previous two years at Oklahoma.

The Cadets cut the lead to 5-3 with two runs in the fifth before the Rebels busted the game open with seven runs in the sixth inning. Huisman's two-run double made it 7-3, and Michael Rosamond highlighted the inning with a three-run blast.

Joey Cramblitt pitched six solid innings to earn the victory and moved his record to 3-0 on the season. Cramblitt allowed three unearned runs on five hits and three walks and struck out five Army batters.

Huisman and Mead both collected two hits each to lead Ole Miss' nine-hit attack. Huisman and Mead also knocked in three runs each.

The Rebels will meet West Virginia at 3:00 p.m. in Friday's second round action. Senior Lance Tolbert (1-0, 1.50 ERA) is scheduled to pitch against the Mountaineers senior right-hander David Kloes (0-1, 5.79 ERA). West Virginia is currently 1-2.
