Second Round of LSU-Fairwood Invitational Canceled

BATON ROUGE, La. - Due to heavy rain and lightning in Baton Rouge, the second round of the LSU-Fairwood Invitational was canceled. The tournament will now be a 36-hole event with the final round scheduled to begin Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The Ole Miss women's golf team is in ninth place with a 325 in Friday's first round, and the Lady Rebels have one golfer in the top five. Megan Breen, a senior from Longwood, Fla., shot a 75 and is tied for fifth place with Katy Wilkinson of LSU and Amanda Moltke-Leth of UCLA.
Robyn Rinaldo, a junior from Dade City, Fla., is tied for 35th place with an 82, and Teresa Brown, a sophomore from Windermere, Fla., is tied for 46th place with an 83. Marci Kornegay, a sophomore from Savannah, Ga., is tied for 63rd place with an 85.
Kim Tudor, a freshman from Winter Garden, Fla., is tied for 69th place with an 86. Lynn Ann Moretto, a freshman from Englewood, Colo., is tied for 76th place with an 87 and is competing individually for the Lady Rebels this weekend.
Duke leads the tournament with a 307, followed by UCLA with a 308. LSU, the host school, is in third place with a 315. Jennifer Hubbard of SMU and Jenny Chuasiriporn of Duke lead the individual field with a 73, followed by Duke's Beth Bauer and Texas A&M's Anna Jonsson with a 74.
