Stringfellow Third in Long Jump at NCAAs

BOISE, Idaho - Ole Miss sophomore Savante Stringfellow qualified for All-American honors with a third place in the finals of the long jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships hosted by Boise State.
Stringfellow, who won the event at the Southeastern Conference Championships, came in behind Melvin Lister of Arkansas and Frankie Young of Indiana State with a mark of 26'7.75".
The 1999 NCAA Track and Field Championships conclude Sunday.
