Track & Field Competes at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Lady Rebel sophomore Teneeshia Jones placed third in the women's collegiate 100 meters to pace the Ole Miss track and field effort at the Penn Relays on Friday. Jones finished third in a time of 11.58 seconds.

The Rebel 4x400 meter relay team of Wayne Woolery, Jimmy Love, Savante Stringfellow and Alonzo Banks won its section of the event. The Ole Miss team placed first with a time of 3:08.90. Stringfellow also participated in the men's collegiate long jump, and placed sixth in the event with a mark of 24-9 1/4.

In other action, the men's distance medley relay placed 18th with a time of 10:29.79, while senior Bernie Kuria was 15th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 29:55.55.

The Penn Relays continues on Saturday with final-day events.
