Wallace Wins Pole Vault at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - Kyle Wallace, a member of the Rebel track and field team, placed first in the pole vault to lead Ole Miss in second-day action at the 72nd annual Texas Relays on Friday.

Wallace won the pole vault with a mark of 17-4 . His mark also provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Wallace's mark of 17-4 is the second best in Ole Miss history and is also his personal best.

In other action at the Texas Relays, the Lady Rebel sprint medley relay team placed fifth in its preliminary heat with a time of 4:01.26. The relay team did not qualify for the finals in the event.

The Texas Relays continue on Saturday.
