OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Rebel football squad completed its second full week of practice Friday afternoon, and head coach David Cutcliffe was pleased with what he saw in the 1 1/2 hour practice session.
"We got a lot done in a short period of time this afternoon," said Cutcliffe. "Since we had a lot of tape to look at today, we spent more time in team meetings breaking down tape. I thought this was as good an hour-and-a-half practice that I've been around. There was a lot of coaching and a lot of practicing going on during that time."
The Rebels also had three players return to the practice field on Friday. Senior Cory Peterson and sophomores Jamie Armstrong and Maurice Flournoy put the pads back on after missing a couple of practices as a result of nagging injuries.
The Ole Miss football team will greet fans at "Meet the Rebels" Day on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field.
