Ole Miss offensive lineman Todd Wade gives you an in depth perspective of the view from the trenches all season long in Wade's World.

Week One

On the preseason:

"I think everything is going great right now. We're on a path to some special things here. I feel confident going into the Memphis game. My main goal is to win every game. I believe we can do it. Getting continuity, week in and week out, that's going to be the hard part. If we can do that along with putting in the effort and taking one game at a time and not looking ahead at anybody, then we can do it. Our first goal obviously will be to win the West and then the SEC Championship. If you do that, you can put yourself in a good position to get into the big game."

On the Memphis game:

"We've looked at Memphis as far as player profiles of who we would be going against. We've also put a good deal of time into looking at (Memphis Defensive Coordinator John) Thompson's defense at Southern Miss last year. We've prepared more for this game than we've ever had, and if we're not ready for this game by now, we'll never be.

"Their defensive scheme reminds me a little bit of Mississippi State, but maybe a bit more complicated. They run a little "4-3", "4-2", but the real confusion comes out of their "I" defense. They do a lot of things with their linebackers and defensive linemen as far as standing up, being in a stance or moving around back and forth. We've worked hard with it and feel comfortable with it, and we're looking forward to the game.

"It's always been a big game when playing Memphis. It's always an exciting game. They've beaten us before, so we have a lot of respect for them. We've prepared for them, and I feel confident we can go up there and give ourselves a chance to win the game."
