Tonight's attendance of 44,511 is the fifth largest crowd at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/ Hollingsworth Field.
Freshman Todd Campbell notched his first career reception, a 36-yard pass from Romaro Miller in the first quarter.
Sophomore Joe Gunn's 30-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter is his longest career reception and also his first career touchdown catch.
Sophomore Maurice Flournoy caught his first touchdown reception, a 20-yard pass from Romaro Miller at the14:56 mark in the second quarter.
Flournoy's 36-yard reception with under 12 minutes to go in the game is the longest of his career.
Junior Anthony Magee recorded two interceptions in a game for the second time in his career. He had two interceptions in the Independence Bowl last year. He now has five career interceptions.
Redshirt freshman Toward Sanford scored his first career touchdown, a 1-yard run with 5:13 remaining in the second quarter. It was also his first career rush.
Sophomore Jamie Armstrong caught his first career touchdown pass, a 7-yard reception from Romaro Miller with 5:26 in the third quarter. It is also the first touchdown pass from Miller to Armstrong since they last connected in high school.
Tonight marks the third time Romaro Miller has thrown three touchdown passes in his career. He threw four touchdown passes last year against LSU, and three in the Rebels 35-18 win over Texas Tech in the Independence Bowl. The four touchdown passes versus LSU tied a school record.
Joe Gunn rushed for a career high 155 yards. He also carried the ball 25 times, tying his career high. He also rushed 25 time against Memphis last week.
Joe Gunn rushed over 100 yards for the fourth time in his career and recorded his second consecutive 100-plus yard game. He rushed for 123 yards last week against Memphis.
Romaro Miller threw for more than 200 yards for the eighth time in his career. He ended the night 16-of-25 for 253 yards.
Dating back to the 1989 season, Ole Miss has won its last 33 games when scoring 30 or more points in a game. The last time the Rebels scored 30 points and lost was against LSU on November 4, 1989 when the Tigers defeated the Rebels 35-30 in Oxford.
The Rebels have posted an 18-1 record under the lights, since lights were installed prior to the 1990 season. Ole Miss won its first 17 home night games before losing to Mississippi State 28-6 last year in the regular season finale.
With tonight's win David Cutcliffe became the first Ole Miss coach since Billy Kinard in 1971 to start out 3-0 as the Rebels' head coach. Kinard's 1971 Ole Miss team defeated Long Beach State (29-13), Memphis State (49-21) and Kentucky (34-20) in its first three games. Cutcliffe defeated Texas Tech (35-18) in the Independence Bowl last season and Memphis (3-0) in the season opener this year.
Since the legendary John Vaught won the first game he coached in Oxford, new Ole Miss football coaches are 6-2 in their Oxford debuts.
