COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - After falling behind 1-0, the Ole Miss Lady Rebel volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 victory over Eastern Illinois Friday afternoon to finish second in the two-day Air Force Invitational.

The Lady Rebels (3-1) had three players with double digit kill marks. Senior captain Lisa Frannino led the team with 19 kills, Jaime Burns added 16 and Kira Zschau was not far behind with 15 kills of her own.

Lisa Frannino edged closer to the Ole Miss career assist mark with 62 assists in the match. She should break the school record next weekend in the Ole Miss Invitational.

Eastern Illinois (1-2), the defending Ohio Valley Conference Champion, dropped to third in the round robin tournament after losses to both Ole Miss and tournament champion and host Air Force, who went undefeated.

After a shaky first game, which saw the Lady Rebels lose an 8-2 lead and eventually lose the match 15-12, Ole Miss bounced back with a 15-7 win in the second game and a 15-10 win in the third game.

In the final game, the Lady Rebels fell behind 8-1 before scoring seven unanswered points to knot it up at eight each. Ole Miss then closed it out 15-12, for the win and one of their best starts in recent seasons.

In earlier tournament action, Ole Miss lost to Air Force 3-0 Thursday night before defeating Fordham 3-0 Friday morning.

The Lady Rebels will return home for the Ole Miss Invitational next Friday and Saturday to take on Arkansas State and Wake Forest in the Women's Multi-Sport Complex.
