OLE MISS POSTGAME NOTES

* Senior RB Deuce McAllister did not play in today's game until the overtime period. In the extra period, McAllister rushed four times for five yards, including scoring the game-winning TD on a one-yard plunge.

* The TD was McAllister's 12th of the season, moving him to within two TDs of Archie Manning's and Kayo Dottley's school single-season record of 14. Dottley scored 14 TDs in 1949 and Manning in 1969.

* Today's game was the Rebels' first overtime game of the season, and their first since defeating Auburn 24-17 at Auburn on Sept. 25, 1999. Ole Miss is now 5-2 in overtime games.

* Today's win over UNLV marked the Ole Miss Rebels' 22nd straight win versus a non-conference opponent. The last time Ole Miss lost a non-conference game was on Nov. 5, 1994, 17-16 to Memphis in Oxford.

* Joe Gunn rushed for 84 yards on 23 carries to move past Charlie Flowers (1957-59) for fifth-place on the Ole Miss career rushing list with 1,795. Flowers finished his career with 1,730 yards. The Rebel backfield now boasts two of the top five leading rushers in school history with Deuce McAllister (1st-place) and Gunn.

* Senior CB Ken Lucas intercepted two passes today to give him at least one pick in three straight games. He has intercepted four passes in that span.

* Senior QB Romaro Miller completed 18-of-29 for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The 288-yard performance was his seventh career 250-yard passing game to tie Kent Austin's (1981-85) Ole Miss career record.

* Senior WR Grant Heard recorded his first career 100-yard receiving game with seven receptions for 169 yards. The 169-yard performance was the fourth-highest single-game total in Ole Miss history.

* With his seven receptions, Heard moved into third on the Ole Miss career list for receptions with 128. He is now 11 shy of Ta'Boris Fisher's (1993-96) career record of 139. Heard also moved into fourth-place on the Rebel career list for receiving yards with 1,840. The school record is 2,274 yards held by Willie Green (1986-89).

* Heard's 65-yard touchdown reception was the longest of his career breaking his previous long of 60 set against LSU in 1997.

* The two TDs scored by Heard also marked his first career multi-TD game.

* Senior Derrick Burgess blocked a punt in the second quarter that resulted in a safety. The last time Ole Miss blocked a punt was against Georgia in 1998. The last time Ole Miss scored a safety was against Kentucky on Sept. 30 of this season.
