Ole Miss Tied For Fifth After Day One

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Ole Miss golf team is in a fifth place tie with Furman after the first round of the Adam's Cup of Newport. The Rebels shot a 36-hole total of 580 (292-288) and are four shots behind leader Southeastern Louisiana.

The Rebels are led by Phil Caravia (70-74) and Andrew Medley (75-69), who are in a tenth place tie with a 36-hole score of 144. Robert Dreyfus had a first day score of 145 (74-71) for 17th place. Troy Muller is in 21st place with a 147 (73-74) and Buck Purselley is in 57th with a score of 159 (81-78).

The final round will be played tomorrow at the Newport Country Club and Point Judith Country Club in Newport, RI.
