Cross Country Teams Head To Southern Miss

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss cross country teams will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., Friday, to compete at the 21st Annual Southern Miss Invitational. The collegiate women will start at 4:30 p.m., running a 5K, and the collegiate men will start their 8K race at 5:00 p.m. Both races will be held at the Van Hook Golf Course Pavilion side (Lake Sehoy).
The Rebels will continue to look toward senior Chad Dixon for leadership. Dixon has been the top finisher for Ole Miss all season. Dixon led the Rebels to a third place team finish in their last race at Arkansas State.
The Lady Rebels were led by freshman Demetria Burks, who finished in 13th-place, at the Arkansas State Pizza Inn-dian Invitational. Burks, running in her first collegiate race, led Ole Miss to a fourth place team finish.
