Will be making his second start of the season after drawing the start on opening day last Friday against Nicholls State (2/11).
Pitched four shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk, and was credited with the win after being lifted due to a pitch count.
Combined with a Glen Morris on a five-hit shutout.
LAST START: Pitched four scoreless innings against Nicholls State in the season-opener (2/11) ... the Colonels got singles in the second and third innings ... Allowed just one runner to reach as far as second ... threw 75 percent of his pitches for strikes (46-of-61) and recorded 12 first-pitch strikes against 16 batters ... relieved by Glen Morris at the top of the fifth ... was credited with the win.
PRIOR START: Pitched a complete against Long Beach State in the NCAA Regionals on May 28, going 9.1 innings while suffering a tough 4-3 loss ... the 49ers scored a run each in the first, third and fifth innings before scoring the game-winner in the bottom of the 10th inning ...
