Rinaldo Selected To Compete In NCAA East Regional

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's golfer Robyn Rinaldo was selected Monday as an individual participant for the 2000 NCAA East Regional, to be held May 11-13 at the Scarlet Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio.
Rinaldo, a senior from Dade City, Fla., is one of three individual players chosen from the South District. The Regional will consist of 24 teams and six individuals vying for 11 team berths and three individual berths in the NCAA Championships, held May 24-27 at the Crosswater Course in Sunriver, Ore.
A 2000 All-SEC honorable mention, Rinaldo earned all-conference honors all four years at Ole Miss, including a first team selection a year ago. She ranks third on the school's all-time list for top five finishes with eight, and her two individual titles ties the second most by a Lady Rebel.
For the 1999-2000 season, Rinaldo posted a team-best 77.50 stroke average with five top 20 finishes. Her best finish came at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, where she tied for third with a 76-76-69--221. Rinaldo tied for 12th at this year's SEC Championships.
