Ole Miss Cross Country Teams Run At Pre-Regional Meet

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Ole Miss men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Birmingham, Ala., this past weekend to compete in the NCAA Pre-Regional Meet. Due to problems with the running of the course, there were no team scores or times were kept in the women's race.
The Ole Miss men were led by senior Chad Dixon who finished 16th with at time of 28:07.32 on the 8,000-meter course. Dixon was followed by fellow senior Hank Campbell who finished 21st with a time of 28:44.67. Junior Matt Carter finished 24th with a time of 28:57.46 and senior Marcus Christofferson finished 54th with a time of 30:56.32. Freshman Keller Glass had to pull out of the race, so the Ole Miss men did not receive a team score.
Ole Miss will return to action on October 29, when they travel to Auburn, Ala., for the Southeastern Conference Championships.
