OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team has added two signees to the Rebel program for the 2002-03 season according to head coach Woody Cowart. Ole Miss picked up high school seniors Jonathan Lenz and Jeff Neimeyer, both from Texas.

"We are very excited about what these two athletes bring to the table," Cowart said. "Both golfers should provide a big boost to our team in the upcoming seasons and take us a step closer to achieving our goals of taking the program to the next level."

Lenz will come to Ole Miss after completing a successful high school career. The San Antonio native participated in the U.S. Junior Tournament where he advanced to match-play. Lenz also advanced to match-play at the Lucent, where he fired an under par round. The high school senior finished tied for 17th at the Ashworth Top 100 with a three round 75-76-69-220.

Neimeyer joins the Rebel program from Georgetown High School. The Georgetown, Texas native joined fellow signee Lenz in the Lucent, where he also advanced to match-play and fired an under par round. Neimeyer finished tied for the No. 26 spot at the Ashworth Top 100, with a 74-70-78-222. The senior also finished tied for sixth at the AJGA sponsored Oaktree Tournament, where he fired the low round of the day in the final round of competition. He is also an outstanding student as he has achieved a 92.74 grade average and is a member of the National Honor Society.
