Parker, Barnett Fare Well On First Day Of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Ole Miss seniors Tisha Parker and Brandy Barnett both placed in their respective events on the first day of action at the prestigious Penn Relays. Parker finished in fifth place in the college women's championship long jump by leaping 19-4.25. Barnett tied for seventh place in the college women's championship high jump by clearing 5-8.
The Ole Miss women's 4x100-meter relay team ran 45.40 in its preliminary race. The time qualified them for the college women's 4x100-meter relay finals. Lady Rebel senior Brandy Mack competed in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:00.05.
