IN THE POLLS: Ole Miss moved up three spots in this week's Baseball America Top 25 to No. 16, and one spot in the Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches Top 25 to No. 16. The Rebels dropped four spots in Collegiate Baseball's Top 30 to No. 20.

LAST TIME OUT: Glen Morris coaxed Kris Edge to fly out to left to end a ninth-inning Georgia threat as Ole Miss defeated the Bulldogs 3-2 Sunday afternoon to win the SEC series 2-1. Georgia scored one run in the ninth and stranded runners on second and third. It was the Rebels' third straight SEC series victory and placed them atop the overall SEC standings at 9-3, one-game ahead of LSU and Tennessee at 8-4. Senior RHP Ronnie Goodwin (4-1) worked into the ninth inning to earn the win, allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits and one walk, while striking out a season-high eight. Goodwin limited the Bulldogs to just one hit through six innings and scoreless through seven. Sophomore SS Chad Sterbens went 3x4 to pace Ole Miss' 10-hit attack, and his RBI single in the first put the Rebels up 2-0. Morris recorded his fifth save of the season.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS: Memphis is 15-11 on the season, including 3-6 inside Conference USA, after winning 2-of-3 at South Florida this past weekend. The Tigers are hitting .269 (173x872) as a team with 30 HRs, led by junior INF Daniel Uggla's .450 (45x100) average. Uggla also has a team-high nine HRs and leads Memphis in RBI with 35. Tiger pitchers have a 5.10 team ERA (224.0 IP, 127 ER), and opponents are hitting .271 (238x879) against them with 16 HRs.

SERIES INFO: Tonight's meeting is the 115th all-time between Ole Miss and Memphis dating back to 1923 ... the Rebels lead the all-time series 69-45 ... the Tigers defeated the Rebels, 3-1, on Mar. 21 at AutoZone Park in Memphis to snap a six-game losing streak in the series ... the Rebels won last year's meeting in Oxford, 6-2, on Apr. 5 ... Ole Miss is 32-21 all-time against Memphis in Oxford, including 10-2 at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, and 32-22 at Memphis ... the Tigers won the only meeting played at a neutral site, defeating the Rebels 4-1 at the 1998 Service Academies Classic in Millington, Tenn ... there are seven games in the series that the location can not be determined.

OLE MISS VERSUS C-USA: Tonight's game is Ole Miss' third of the year against a Conference USA opponent ... the Rebels defeated in-state rival Southern Miss, 3-2, on Mar. 4 in Oxford during the Ole Miss Invitational, and lost 3-1 to Memphis on Mar. 21 at AutoZone Park ... the Rebels are 202-113 (.641 winning percentage) all-time versus schools that currently play baseball in Conference USA: UAB 11-8 (.579), Houston 2-0 (1.000), Louisville 3-1 (.750), Memphis 69-45 (.605), Southern Miss 56-32 (.636), Tulane 61-27 (.693).

AFTER 32 GAMES LAST YEAR: Ole Miss was 19-13 after 32 games last season ... The Rebels had a .290 batting average (331x 1,141) with 25 HRs, 173 RBI, 59 doubles and five triples ... The 9-3 conference start is the best by the Rebels since 1972 when they were 11-1 after 12 SEC games ... This weekend's 2-1 series victory over Georgia marked Ole Miss' third straight conference series win after dropping 2-of-3 to Kentucky on the first weekend of SEC play, Mar. 9-11 ... Since the Kentucky series, Ole Miss has gone 8-1 inside the SEC with a pair of three-game sweeps at Auburn, Mar. 16-18, and against Alabama in Oxford, Mar. 23-25 ...
