Savante' Stringfellow Qualifies For World Championship Final

Edmonton - Former Ole Miss track and field standout Savante' Stringfellow qualified for Saturday's 2:30 p.m. final in the men's long jump at the 2001 Track and Field World Championships. Stringfellow had the best qualifying mark of the competition with his first leap of 8.33 meters. He then passed on his next two attempts.
Stringfellow, who competed at the 2000 Olympic Games, is the 2001 US Champion as well as the 2001 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Champion in the long jump.
