OLE MISS POSTGAME NOTES
SERIES NOTES
Tonight's meeting was the 91st all-time between the two schools dating back to 1894. LSU holds a 50-37-4 advantage in the series.
LSU is Ole Miss' second-most played opponent besides Mississippi State, who the Rebels' will host for the 99th time Thursday night.
Tonight's loss breaks the three-game Ole Miss win streak over LSU in Baton Rouge.
The Rebels are now 24-34-1 all-time versus LSU at Tiger Stadium.
TEAM NOTES
Ole Miss is now 5-1 this season and 24-7 under David Cutcliffe when leading at halftime.
Ole Miss has lost five games in a row. The five game losing streak is the longest since dropping five-straight in 1991 (Georgia, Vanderbilt, LSU, Tennessee and Mississippi State).
The Rebels have lost six-straight road games, their longest road skid since dropping eight-straight from 1992-1994. LSU was the last team Ole Miss defeated away from Oxford, winning 35-24 last year on Oct. 27 in Baton Rouge.
The Rebels are 1-3 against ranked opponents this season, defeating Florida (#6 AP/#8 ESPN/USA Today), 17-14 on Oct. 5 in Oxford, and losing to Alabama (#24 AP), 42-7 in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 19, Georgia (#7 AP/#8 ESPN/USA Today), 31-17 in Athens on Nov. 9, and LSU (#20 AP/#21 ESPN/USA Today), 14-13 in Baton Rouge on Nov. 23.
The Rebels are 5-3 following an off-week under head coach David Cutcliffe. This season, Ole Miss was idle on Sept. 28 following a 45-38 win over Vanderbilt on Sept. 21, and returned to action by upsetting No. 6 Florida, 17-14, in Oxford on Oct. 5. Ole Miss was idle on Nov. 16 following a 31-17 loss to No. 7 Georgia on Nov. 9, and returned to action with a loss to No. 20 LSU, 14-13, in Baton Rouge on Nov. 23.
Ole Miss has an all-time record of 186-154-13 during the month of November. Ole Miss is 110-64-5 in home games in November and 76-90-8 on the road.

Manning's 20-yard TD pass to redshirt freshman Mike Espy in the second quarter was the 49th of his career.
With 19 completions, Manning moved past Romaro Miller (1997-2000) for second place on the school's career list for completions with 513. Miller finished his career with 497 completions. Kent Austin (1981-85) is the Ole Miss career-record holder for completions with 566.
Passed John Fourcade for third place on the Ole Miss career list in passing attempts. Manning now has attempted 849 career passes. Fourcade attempted 819 in his career.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
Redshirt freshman WR Mike Espy recorded his first career rush on an end-around in the first quarter, gaining six yards.
Senior RB Toward Sanford's 18-yard reception in the first quarter was his longest of the season.
Junior WR Chris Collins' rush on an end-around in the third quarter was his first rush of the season, the sixth of his career.
STREAKING REBELS: Three Rebel receivers continued streaks of 10 or more games with a catch in junior Chris Collins (20), sophomore Bill Flowers (16) and senior Jason Armstead (15).

DEFENSIVE NOTES
Junior Von Hutchins' interception was his fourth of the season, tying senior DB Matt Grier for the team lead, and the fifth of his career.
Junior DE Josh Cooper's fumble recovery in the second quarter was his team-leading second of the year, and the third of his career.
Redshirt freshman CB Travis Johnson's fumble recovery in the third quarter was his second of the year to tie Cooper for the team lead. He also recovered fumbles in back-to-back games as he recovered his first career fumble during the Nov. 9 game at Georgia.
LSU's five fumbles tonight was the most by an opponent against the Rebels this season, and Ole Miss' three fumble recoveries tied its season high. The Rebels also recorded three fumble recoveries against Vanderbilt on Sept. 21. Ole Miss' four takeaways tonight tied a season high set against Florida on Oct. 5.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Sophomore PK Jonathan Nichols was 2-of-2 on field goal attempts tonight, making a 36-yarder in the first quarter and a 39-yarder in the third quarter. He has made 10-of-11 since the Vanderbilt game on Sept. 21.
Nichols has converted 43 consecutive PAT attempts since Nov. 22, 2001, the fourth longest streak in school history.
LSU POSTGAME NOTES
* LSU's 22 seniors were honored before the game, their last in Tiger Stadium. LSU's captains for the game were permanent captains Bradie James and Domanick Davis as well as Kenderick Allen and LaBrandon Toefield.
* Ole Miss won the toss and elected to defer. LSU received to start the game and defended the North endzone.
* The attendance for the game was 91,613, which is the second largest crowd this year and the eighth largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history. It is the 19th consecutive game the attendance has been more than 85,000 and the 13th time the crowd has exceeded 90,000.
* Recording artist Brittany Spears made an appearance in the PA booth and the press box during halftime to watch the festivities.
TEAM NOTES
* LSU forced a turnover for the 24th consecutive game, every one dating back to the 2000 Peach Bowl.
* For the fifth straight game, LSU's opponent scored first. LSU faked a kick for the second straight week and third time this year. The Tigers were previously successful in faking a field goal (Florida) and a punt (Alabama).
* LSU finished a home season 6-1 for the second time in three year and moved to 17-5 at home under Nick Saban.
* The Tigers clinched a share of the SEC West title, their fourth in seven years and second straight.
* LSU beat Ole Miss in Baton Rouge for the first time since 1995. The Tigers won their eighth game, marking the third straight year they have won eight. It is the first time since 1984-88 LSU has won eight games in three straight years.
* For the eighth time in 11 games, LSU held an opponent to 275 total yards or less. The streak would be 250 or less, but twice an opponent has cracked the plateau on the games final play (South Carolina, Ole Miss).
* With the win, LSU set up a showdown with Arkansas next Friday that will decide the SEC West representative in the SEC Championship game.
* The 14 points is the fewest by LSU in a Tiger victory since a 7-6 win at Vanderbilt in 1997.
* LSU won a game when trailing after three quarters for the first time since trailing Tennessee 17-16 after three in the 2001 SEC Championship game.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
* Jerel Myers extended his team best streak of consecutive starts to 36 while Rodney Reed pushed his streak to 32. Bradie James has now started 19 straight games and Norman LeJeune and Stephen Peterman have each started 17 straight.
* Redshirt freshman Rick Clausen made his first career start at quarterback. He is the first freshman to start at quarterback for LSU since Herb Tyler against North Texas in 1995.
* Michael Clayton caught a pass in his 23rd straight game, every one of his career. His streak is the longest on the team.
* Devery Henderson caught his eighth touchdown pass of the season, moving him into sole place of seventh in LSU history for receiving touchdowns in a season.
* Devery Henderson had each of LSU's past six touchdown receptions at the time.
* Norman LeJeune recorded his third and fourth sacks of the season. Demetrius Hookfin intercepted his fifth pass of the season to tie for 10th in school history for interceptions in a season.
* Skyler Green made his first career reception on a 7-yard gain in the fourth quarter. He is the 13th LSU player to catch a pass this season. Michael Clayton caught his fifth touchdown of the year and the 11th of his career. The 11 places him 10th in LSU history.
* Corey Webster intercepted his sixth pass of the year, moving him into a fifth place tie at LSU for picks in one season. Domanick Davis Notes
* With 156 all-purpose yards, Domanick Davis passed Dalton Hilliard for second in LSU history and fifth in SEC history for career all-purpose yards. Domanick Davis moved into third place in LSU's single-season history for all-purpose yards passing Charles Alexander (1977) and Josh Reed (2001). With 156 all-purpose yards, Domanick Davis moved into 14th place in SEC single-season history for yards in a year.
* Domanick Davis passed his 2001 total for eighth place on LSU's single-season kickoff return yardage list.
* On an eight-yard run in the third quarter, Domanick Davis passed Billy Cannon for 10th in school annals for career rushing yards. Domanick Davis moved into sixth place for total kick return yardage in a season in SEC history, passing Tony James' (MSU) 1989 total.
* On his 7-yard return in the fourth quarter, Domanick Davis took over eighth in SEC history for single-season punt return yards. He passed Scott Woerner's (UG) 1980 total.
