Rebels Finish Tied For Eighth At Coastal Carolina Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Ole Miss men's golf team recovered from a slow start and inclement weather in the first round of play to finish in eighth place at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.
The Rebels were led by Tommy Clement and Jarrod Gardner, both of whom finished tied for the No. 15 spot overall. Clement fired a 73-73-74-220, while Gardner carded a 77-73-70-220 for the three rounds.
Dustin White of Washington State claimed the title with a three round score of 68-69-67-204 to finish 12-under par.
Ole Miss' Jordan Dempsey turned in a three round total of 78-71-77-226 to claim a tie for the No. 40 spot. Junior Andrew Medley shot a 76-78-73-227 to tie for the No. 45 spot. Brian Swope rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss with an 81-83-77-241 to tie for 80th overall.
The Rebels will return to action at the Seminole Intercollegiate March 11-12. The tournament will be hosted by Florida State University.
